On August 29, the ecological campaign "Clean Shores", organized as part of the nationwide "Taza Qazaqstan" initiative, took place in the regions of Kazakhstan.

The main goal of the event is to clean up the shores of rivers and water bodies, preserve natural areas, and increase the environmental responsibility of the population.

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, about 36 thousand people participated in the campaign. Representatives of state bodies, students, volunteers, and local residents joined the cleanup.

During the event, about 1.5 thousand tons of waste were collected and removed.

Based on the results of the campaign:

663 hectares of coastal areas were cleaned; 810.7 tons of household waste were sent for recycling; cleaning of the shorelines of rivers and water bodies was carried out in various regions of the country.

For Kazakhstan, such initiatives are important not only from an environmental perspective. Clean and preserved natural areas are an essential part of the development of domestic and eco-tourism.

A responsible attitude towards recreational areas, water bodies, and tourist routes helps to preserve natural sites and make travel across Kazakhstan more comfortable and safe.

The "Clean Shores" campaign is conducted as part of the systematic work of the "Taza Qazaqstan" initiative. The Ministry reports that similar events will continue in other regions of the country.
